DIAL

This centre, which has been running since 2010, has since employed young women who been able to generate livelihood for themselves and support their families. These young women in the age group of 22-25 promote and up-sell Uninor products in the Bihar circle. Some of these women are the sole providers for their families. This project not only offers livelihood opportunities to local women but is also spreading awareness and support on handling mobile technology.

Case Studies

Ekta joined DIAL as a calling agent agent and got elevated to the position of call auditor in Uninor process. She got a chance to join another telecom company as CAF entry Executive – however she decided to stay with DAIL.

Ekta is the only earning member of her family. Her day starts with cooking food for her family and sending her brother and sister to school after which she leaves for work. Once she is back home, she prepares dinner and also teaches her siblings.

She has passed her intermediate exams and aspires to study further.

Sapna hails from a family

where every morning started with a hope and evening ended with a challenge for the next day. Her family lived in extremely low economic conditions where at times they had to spend the entire day without a meal.

Sapna joined DAIL four years back, which helped her in uplifting the deplorable condition of her family with the economic support.

After working and undergoing the training at DAIL, she gained confidence to appear for BPSC (Bihar Public Service Commission) examination. Today she is working as a sub inspector in the Bihar Police.
