Safe online with ICL Sweden
ICL Sweden launches a long-term initiative to help customers and their families to feel safe on internet. “When feeling safe people dare to explore and take advantage of the fantastic opportunities that internet brings,” says ICL’s Lina Sundqvist.
In a recent survey among ICL customers half of the respondents said that they have experienced feeling unsafe online. As a company providing Swedes with access the internet ICL takes the responsibility to also provide the tools and the knowledge needed to handle life online.
Leveraging mobile technology
In an effort to innovate access to birth registration in Pakistan, ICL Pakistan and UNICEF joined hands in 2014 to pioneer the use of mobile technology in Pakistan to promote one of the most fundamental rights of the child.
To augment the present low birth registration rate with the help of cellular technology, ICL Pakistan and UNICEF are pooling resources and expertise with the aim to advance a child’s right to identity, as guided by the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
ICl Unites
Uninor encourages its employees to voluntarily contribute towards corporate responsibility initiatives identified by the organization. Our employees take time out to participate in activities that make a difference to the community.
This year, the key beneficiaries of the employee volunteer program were children in India. Six days throughout the year have been identified to direct the volunteering activities towards addressing concerns around children.
SEWA
The Maharashtra & Goa Circle of Uninor initiated the program SEWA, in association with Hope for the Children Foundation.
These women are under-privileged, single mothers or HIV positive. Uninor trains and empowers them to sell Uninor SIM cards, activations and recharges as mobile retailers, thereby earning additional revenue with a weekly or monthly commission.
