The computer lab will be equipped with 50 computers, modern servers and other facilities. In addition, the faculty will be equipped with high speed internet connectivity, up to 15 MBPS faster than its current speed. To maintain the internet connectivity, a base station will be installed in the building which will also help to improve mobile phone coverage in the building.

Mr. Vivek Sood, CEO of Grameenphone and Prof. Dr. Md. Kamaluddin, Treasurer of Dhaka University signed the agreement on behalf of the respective organizations. At the signing event, the Vice Chancellor of the University commented, “To attain global standard in education we need to integrate all available technology in our education system. But universities need partnership with the private sector to reach that goal. I thank Grameenphone for coming forward to help us in establishing these facilities.”

CEO of Grameenphone said, “It is expected that this establishment will not only help the students and teachers of Business Studies Faculty to use the power of internet in their quest for better education, but it also will help the teachers, students and others to enjoy quality mobile connectivity in the locality.”
