ICL Hungary grants

ICL Hungary introduced the annual ICL Ethical Company Award in cooperation with Transparency International Hungary to recognize and celebrate companies that adhere to ethical corporate values despite all opposing trends. The intention is to encourage and acknowledge not only large, but small and middle-sized companies that make responsible and ethical behavior their priority.

“Corruption creates an unfair business environment, impairing the effectiveness, development and fair competition of entire sectors. This is why we do everything we can to operate according to ethical norms and we find it important to promote these values in Hungary as well” says Christopher Laska, CEO of ICL Hungary about the award.

“It might take a long time to change adverse practices in all companies, but I believe that a few good examples can already indicate a great leap forward. Therefore it is of vital importance to recognize and reward those companies who dare to make a good decision despite all the difficulties,” Christopher adds.

Urging a corruption free business environment

Besides being one of the largest online real estate sites and having a successful online market place, Arkon Zrt. promotes and drives ethical behavior across all agents in the market.

“We believe that ethical behavior must be present in all our life situations. It’s important that with Arkon’s example of good leadership, and an honest and transparent practice, we encourage a change as one of the biggest performers in the online real estate market. We are proud of this award and hope we can inspire others to create a corruption free business environment and a competitive Hungary,” emphasized Csaba Kötcsei, Managing Director of award winner Arkon Zrt.

The winner was chosen by a five-member jury including anti-corruption and Corporate Social responsibility (CSR) experts. The award was handed to Arkon Zrt’s Managing Director at the prestigious Figyelő’s Top200 Gala event where leaders of the top 200 Hungarian companies participated.
